Bedroom sweets!
Make use of the natural power of attraction

It was a warm and lovely summer evening, and I was visiting a friend that quite recently had moved to a new place.

After a long (and very tasty!) dinner, she went into the bedroom and opened the window – just to let some fresh air in before bedtime.

A little while later, both of us were more or less hypnotized.

We couldn’t help it but just watched ourselves walking into the bedroom – like lead by an invisible force.

The seduction of scents
– the secret to a magnetic bedroom

Giddy and mesmerized, and also a bit puzzled, we entered the room.

We were really like drawn in there and just couldn’t resist it.

Nothing to be seen – just to smell.

It was a scent that worked like a magnet on us.

A magical, wonderful scent – that we just couldn’t have enough of.

It turned out that below her bedroom window was this sweet – both in looks and in smell – flower plant that had burst into full bloom, with the loveliest scent ever as a result.

As the evening fell, the scent rouse to and through her open window, and filled the room with its invisible beauty.

We were floored – and totally caught.?

Learn from nature and act accordingly

See, this is exactly what we want;

You should be attracted to your bedroom
when it’s time to get in there and go to bed.

And, of course, there’re many things to help create that attraction – but scents are really a biggie.

And while candles, incense or fragrance sticks, for example, are a great way to add scents and set the tone for a space – why not make use of the natural attraction of flowers and nature when you can??

Think about it for a second; nature really operates with one major intention – to ensure that species thrive and propagate. For this, it’s crucial to attract the right species to each other (you know, the whole “the birds and the bees”-thing?).

Flowers do that by their shape and color – AND, most of all, their scent.

And obviously, that trick works as effective on us humans as it does on the rest of nature…

Here’s what to do – with or without a garden

So, are you ready to act and create your own floral scented bedroom heaven?

 Garden? Yes!

If you’re lucky enough to have your own garden, the trick is to plant softly scented flowers below the window outside your bedroom. This way, the room will be filled with the amazing scent in the evenings – enticing you to get in there and indulge in the scent (hence, spend your time in there and eventually go to bed).

If you’re not a flower and plant whiz, just check with your local garden store what works best for your climate and seasons. Ask for flowers that especially emit their scents in the evenings.

Maybe you can also have several flowers, that will bloom at different times – by doing that you’ll be prolonging the whole natural scenting experience.?????

Garden? No!

And if you don’t have a garden – don’t despair! Go to your flower store and look and ask for potted plants or fresh flowers that have a soft and low-key scent that you really enjoy, and that you in some way associate with evening time, relaxation and slowing down.

? If you choose fresh flowers from the store, get the ones that are typical for the season to be “in time with time”. And, of course, you can also pick wildflowers where you’re allowed to – and then the seasonal thing will work out all by itself.

? Also, if you’re going for fresh flowers it’s sometimes really enough with just a single one to give enough scent to the space. It’s really super cute with just a little flower twig in small vase on your nightstand, or on your dresser or on a shelf.

Make sure it’s not a too heavy smell – since you’ll have it indoors and spend the whole night together, we don’t want you to wake up with a headache or feeling dizzy from its magic. You should be spellbound by it – not knocked down.

The flower my friend had outside her bedroom window?

It was a honeysuckle. A big, bold, beautiful honeysuckle (hey, just listen to that NAME – I mean, who wouldn’t be attracted to THAT?!?!?).

But the important thing is to choose a flower that YOU feel attracted to. Be like a bee, and sniff around at the flower store – if you don’t happen to already know your crush.☺??
